5.4              1. No-load test-run

- Before start-up, check and remove the foreign matters from the mixing drum of the mixer, measuring hoppers, fines silos

and batchers, which are caused by construction operations.

- After completion of unit test-run, carry out combined test-run at no-load conditions. After energizing PC, rotate the manual/auto

switch to “auto” position, select one prescription and set the inputs of the materials measured as zero. Start up the program

and check the whole working process for conformity with the requirements.

 

      2 On-load test-run

         2.1 Preparations

- Check water supply, air supply and power supply for normal operation

- Provide the materials required for on-load test-run.

- Prepare the ground for stockpiling the concrete produced during test-run.

- Do not carry out on-load test-running until no-load test-run has all been accepted.

 

Warning: The concrete produced during test-run can not be used as product.

        2.2 Attention

- Follow materials proportions to set parameters in prescription selection.

- Follow no-load test-run check items to recheck.

- Check the batcher, slant belt conveyor and similar moving units for normal operation. Check supporting parts for looseness.

   Adjust the belt to ensure no off-track running;

- Check materials charging and discharging gates for normal opening and for looseness. Check travel switches for looseness.

- Check the flexible connections of measuring mechanisms for looseness and check air-driven connections for air leakage.

- Check connecting bolts for looseness.

- Check concrete for conformity with prescription requirements.

- Check production period and calculate production capacity to see if they satisfy design requirements.

 

Follow the check results to adjust items that do not satisfy prescription requirements. And go on with test-run until design requirements are satisfied.

 

        2.3 Operation steps

Turn on the power supply master switch to check the electric system to ensure it is normal. If abnormal noise, fume, spark or

bad smell is found, turn off the switch to trace the cause. If not, turn on the control switch and power supply switches of other

motors to start up the air compressor, mixer, slant belt conveyor. Do not go on with the next operation until everything is checked OK.

Start up PC power supply to enter the operation software for concrete production.

 

Hand-operated on-load test run.

- Rotate the manual/auto switch to the “manual” position.

- Press separately the push-buttons corresponding to their respective storage hopper gates to discharge aggregate into the

  aggregate measuring hoppers. Release the buttons when reaching the measurement values.

- Press separately the push-buttons corresponding to their respective measuring hopper gates to discharge the measured aggregate

   onto the horizontal belt conveyor, then onto slant belt conveyor and from here into the intermediate aggregate silos.

- Start up the spiral conveyor concerned to measure cement and coal dust separately. Shut down the conveyor concerned when

  reaching the pre-set value.

- Start up the water pump to measure water. Shut down the pump when reaching the measurement value.

- Start up the additive pump concerned to measure the additive. Shut down the pump when reaching the measurement value.

- Feed the aggregate and measured cement, coal dust, water and additives into the mixer for about 38s mixing operation before

  discharging the mixture.

- Preproduction requires mixing of three pots of concrete. Calculate the actual deviation of each material from each pot. And

  calculate the actual deviation average of each material from three pots. Follow these averages to check the scale measurement

  accuracy for reaching the specified done.

 

Automatically-operated test run.

- Rotate the manual/auto switch to the “auto” position.

- Input the proportion to the PC. Follow PC prompts to start up the automatic program, automatic production for the preset parameter

  will be on under PC.
